Why weight training is essential for women.
-
Muscle = Strength for Life
We lose muscle and bone as we age. Strength training helps you stay strong, support your joints, and protect against osteoporosis. -
Happier Joints, Less Aches
Strength training keeps your joints moving fluidly, reduces stress, and improves your mood. -
Strength That Shows Up in Real Life
Groceries, kids, stairs, floors, daily life gets easier when your body’s built for it.

This program for women who want to:
✔️ Start lifting weights but feel intimidated or unsure where to begin.
✔️ Build strength, and protect bones to maintain your independence.
✔️ Improve posture, balance, and mobility for the long run.
✔️ Train in a welcoming, supportive private studio, without feeling lost.
(No experience? No problem! I’ll guide you every step of the way.)

I'm unfit and have never lifted weights, is it suitable for me?Absolutely, it's for people who have never lifted any weights before, have never really done any exercise. Each pt session is limited to 4 people, which means more personalised attention and guidance. Exercises are adjusted for your ability.
-
I have an injury or pre existing injury can I still train? Please make sure you have consent from your doctor if it is a recent injury. If it is an old injury, yes you can still train as alternative will be provided to suit your ability.
-
Are these female only weight training sessions?Yes, all weight training sessions are female only. Pilates classes are unisex.
-
What to expect in straining training class? It is a traditional weight lifting class. It is not Hiit, Burpees, or Bootcamp. Each small group personal training class is limited to 4 people. Start with 5 minute full body warm up. There will be 4 exercises in total, with demonstration of the exercises. You move at your own pace. I'm there to help you with technique, and to spot you.
-
How often should I attend? That is highly dependent on your schedule. This program allows 8 classes a month so you can plan on how many classes you'd like per week. If you can't do one week, you can do more on the other weeks. On your active rest days I'd recommend pilates for better muscle recovery, improvement of mobility, flexibility, and core strength.
What people have been saying
Class sizes are small, so lots of personal attention.
Cat is lovely - really knows her stuff and seems to know exactly how far to push me. Really enjoyed both pilates and strength sessions. Class sizes are small, so lots of personal attention.
Feel empowered. A life changing session!
I can’t thank Cat enough. I went into my first strength class post a shoulder injury from a fall and was a little nervous. I was given complete 1:1 focus with expert teaching as to how to build up strength carefully. I came out of the class feeling wonderfully empowered. A life changing session! Thank you.
Small classes, personalised attention with focus on form.
Great studio and Cat is a really good teacher! I love that class sizes are small so that you can have good interaction with the teacher and know if you’re doing things right. I’ll definitely be back!
